Next Flash Career Fair Happens Sept. 15

August was all about back to school for local kids… but September? It’s all about getting back to work. The Flash Career Fair is back, this time hosted by District D Councilmember Jared C. Brossett. As with past career fairs, the Sept. 15 fair will highlight the variety of careers available within the hospitality and tourism industry. Participants will be able to network in a casual, welcoming setting and even start the job application process. Experts will be on site to help with resumes and job tips. Here’s what you need to know:

When:

The Flash Career Fair will take place on Tuesday, September 15 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Where:

The Historic Carver Theater plays host to this month’s fair, offering a beautiful venue alongside job opportunities. Though the theater primarily focuses on jazz, big band ensembles, chamber music, and stage plays, its fully renovated interior features beautiful amenities perfect for hosting events of any kind. The theater is located in Treme at 2101 Orleans Avenue.

Who:

The event represents a joint community outreach effort from District D Councilmember Jared C. Brossett, the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation. It’s also an excellent representation of the importance of hospitality in New Orleans – several employers from local hospitality standouts will be on site during the fair.
