What do you love about New Orleans? It sounds like a simple question, but when you’re talking about a city as richly layered and historically significant as New Orleans, the answer is multifaceted.

We asked several New Orleanians that very same question, and the results are featured in our latest video. Actor and philanthropist Wendell Pierce summed up the question best: “That’s like asking which of your children you love!” he told us. But from restaurateur Dickie Brennan to police chief Michael Harrison to familiar faces in between (you’ll recognize several from our past videos), New Orleanians had wonderful, insightful answers to this deceptively simple question.
