New Orleans & Company is hosting a Job Fest on Tuesday, November 19th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Treme Recreation Community Center.
Please note this is an in-person event only.
What:
Many companies are prepared to conduct in-person interviews onsite and make immediate job offers. Positions are available at all levels – from entry-level to executive – at hotels, restaurants, cultural attractions and much more. This Job Fest, more positions will be available for the holidays and the Big Game in February, whether you are looking for temporary positions, part-time and full-time jobs.

- The Opportunity Youth Scholarship is an incredible college support program for 16-24 year olds who do not already have a college degree. It provides:
- An individual staff mentor who will work with you on an as-needed basis to access a menu of resources that will empower you to successfully combat any life setbacks that may arise related to housing, transportation, childcare, food access, legal services and much more
- Tuition coverage for eligible reasons for students not receiving Pell (eligible reasons include immigration status, 1 time coverage of students in bad academic standing, while they pull up their GPAs, and other eligible circumstances on a case-by-case basis)
- Access to an once annual Emergency Grant up to $1000 for qualifying emergencies such as car wrecks, threat of eviction, job loss etc. – something that could threaten student’s ability to stay in school doing well academically.
- Access to limited Rouses cards, gas cards, Uber assistance to attend class
- A free laptop for use throughout the duration of the program & an internet hotspot if the student does not have internet access at home
- A supportive community of peers all focused on successful completion of their program and seeing college through to graduation
- Free one-on-one tutoring and time management/study skill coaching on an as-needed basis, if students are experiencing difficulties in any classes or just with college in general
- Free books, materials, supplies, uniforms and kits needed for classes
- Assistance in navigating class registration and financial aid
- Post-program job placement assistance and also assistance with resume prep, interview prep
