New Orleans is growing in so many wonderful ways, and we have been recognized for being one of the best places for entrepreneurs in the country. This city is filled with creative minds and passion to strengthen and improve our community. Coming up March 22 – 28, the best and most ambitious of those minds will meet, compete, and collaborate for The Idea Village’s 6th annual New Orleans Entrepreneur Week.

New Orleans Entrepreneur Week is the culmination of The Idea Village’s Entrepreneur Season. The week is a chance for local entrepreneurs and startups to showcase their ideas, and for many of them, to get crucial funding and support to bring their great ideas to fruition. These startups range in industry from food to technology to education to the arts. More than 5,000 entrepreneurs, business executives, investors, and MBA students will take part in more than 56 events for networking, learning, collaborating, and improving.

Finishing off the week on Friday, March 28 will be The Big Idea. This is a chance for 15 of the most promising startup ventures to pitch before a celebrity judging panel and a voting, cheering audience in order to win $50,000 in seed capital to fund their new business.
There are so many ways that New Orleanians are striving to bring our city to new heights, and there is no one way to get there. People around the world are taking notice of our hard work and growth, and ambitious, creative entrepreneurs and investors like the ones at New Orleans Entrepreneur Week are an important part of our city’s future. From our tourism industry to entrepreneurs to educators to artists, we will see New Orleans reach new heights.
