New Orleans and Company

The Crescent City Eclipse Cultural Ambassador award recognizes individuals whose artistic work embodies the culture of New Orleans. Candidates currently represent the spirit of the city locally, nationally and internationally. In addition to personal achievements in their career, these individuals are known leaders in their community and have contributed to the success of tourism.

Cultural Ambassador Awards will be distributed across the following categories:

Awards will be made at the discretion of the Crescent City Eclipse Recognition Committee, which may choose to grant one award, no award, or multiple awards across the above categories.

The nomination must include:

1. Description of how the candidate fulfills the criteria described above (200-400 words/less than one page).

Cultural Ambassador Award Guidelines and Eligibility:

• Candidates can self-nominate.
• Nominees embody the culture in New Orleans and it shows through their work.
• Nominees represent New Orleans locally, nationally and/or internationally.
• Nominees are established in their career through their support of New Orleans culture and are a known leader for their work in the community.
• Winner must be present to receive award.
• Candidates will be judged on the following factors:
  • Description of the candidate’s role.
  • Background of candidate’s career.
  • Uniqueness and impact of the candidate’s contributions.
