The Crescent City Eclipse Role Model award is intended to recognize team leaders and role models in hospitality and tourism who exhibit exemplary growth in the industry. Successful candidates are seasoned professionals with a proven track record for advancement within the industry, but not yet reached an executive level. Nominees have shown commitment to their companies and pride in the industry. In addition to personal advancement, these individuals have helped mentor colleagues and improve overall team performance.
Role model awards will be considered across the following categories:
- Hotel
- Restaurant
- Attractions
- Transportation Services
- Event Services
- Retail
Awards will be made at the discretion of the Crescent City Eclipse Recognition Committee, which may choose to grant one award, no award, or multiple awards across the above categories.
The nomination must include:
- Description of how the candidate fulfills the criteria described above (200-400 words/less than one page).
- Approval from the general manager or human resources director from the nominee’s company will be sought, if applicable.
Role Model Award Guidelines and Eligibility:
- Candidates must have more than five years of experience working in hospitality and tourism.
- Candidates must not be in an executive position.
- Candidates will be judged on the following factors:
- Description of the nominee’s role and responsibilities that demonstrate exemplary service.
- Evidence that the candidate has grown within the industry through increased responsibility and/or promotions.
- Evidence that the candidate is a team-player and demonstrates early leadership and role model behavior.
- Uniqueness and impact of the candidate’s contributions.
