The Salvation Army is a non-profit organization that exists to cure hunger, fight poverty, provide shelter, assist the unemployed and invest in local communities.

Over 2,300 individuals and families have found safe shelter at the local Salvation Army Center Of Hope. They have weekly street feed programs, where staff members have served more than 129,000 meals across New Orleans. Other services provided include an emergency food pantry, GED classes for shelter residents, life skills and job training and so much more.
