Son of a Saint is searching for a level-headed, detail-oriented, and proactive Human Resources professional to join the organization’s growing team.

Primary Role:
The Human Resource Manager will work closely with the CEO and COO/CFO to lead and direct the routine human resources functions including: managing the hiring & onboarding process for new employees, bridging employee and management relations, and developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with Son of a Saint’s organizational strategy.
Primary Responsibilities:
Talent Management
Partners with the senior leadership team to understand and execute Son of a Saint’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
Manages the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental directors to understand skills and competencies required for openings
Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
Provides guidance and best practices on employee performance reviews
Recommends, develops and implements learning and development opportunities for employees
Employee Relations
Provides support and guidance to executive leadership, department directors, and managers when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
Advises team leaders on best practices for managing employee interpersonal conflicts
Compliance and Administration
Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Maintains organizational chart and employee directory
Maintains employee records within PEO system
Serve as lead for annual Open Enrollment
Performs other duties as assigned

Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulation
Familiarity with HR software (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
Education and Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR role required; management experience a plus
Bachelor’s degree required; HR certifications or advance degrees preferred, but not required
Experience in the nonprofit sector a plus
