NEW ORLEANS WILL Rock the Haus at Riverwalk’s Brews & Brats on the River Event

The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk New Orleans has brought amazing opportunities and revitalization to Riverwalk. Nearby hotels have benefitted from a strong retail presence, and the president of the Audubon Nature Institute has mentioned that visitors to the mall could increase visits to the Aquarium of the Americas, IMAX theater, butterfly garden, and Entergy IMAX theater – all just a short walking distance from Riverwalk.

Capitalizing on healthy foot traffic, The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk New Orleans will offer visitors a mini Oktoberfest experience on Saturday, Oct. 25. The Brews & Brats on the River event, running from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m., will feature dishes from Bratz Y’all like pork and veal bratwurst, currywurst with homemade apple-curry ketchup, and beer-marinated roast pork. Speaking of beer, brews from Paulaner Beer create a true Oktoberfest feel. German-inspired offerings like pretzels from Auntie Anne’s round out the menu, and the Bratz Band will provide live music.

The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk produces a symbiotic relationship that touches all aspects of our tourism economy. Visitors to Riverwalk might stay at a hotel downtown, purchase artwork from an artist in the French Quarter, or enjoy a decadent meal in the Warehouse District.

The collection has already been such a success that developers in other parts of the country have taken note. In Elk Grove, Calif., the city council is in talks to revitalize an existing mall using the Outlet Collection at Riverwalk as a template. Last month, the Howard Hughes Corporation reported that as of Sept. 26, Riverwalk has welcomed more than one million customers since its opening on May 22.

Whether tourists are spending their dollars on a new fall jacket or a crisp pint of Paulaner, New Orleanians can enjoy the tangible benefits each dollar spent at The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk brings in.
